Che valore ha l’arte per la nostra vita?
Se l’arte non ha come orizzonte la vita, e non ha un valore per la nostra vita, possiamo anche seppellire l’arte per sempre. Le opere d’arte hanno valore in quanto testimoni di modi, atteggiamenti, visioni e attitudini di valore. Guardare e vivere opere d’arte di valore permette di assorbire (consciamente e inconsciamente) un’attitudine di valore che possiamo applicare nella vita. Se quello che ho scritto non fosse vero possiamo anche fare a meno dell’arte. E’ vero anche il contrario: vivere con cose che non hanno valore (brutte) significa assimilare questa bruttezza.
Nel 2009 Luca Rossi inizia una serie di interventi site-specific in cui egli stesso vive una fusione e confusione di ruolo: visitatore, artista, curatore, direttore, collezionista, ufficio stampa. Il cellulare, il nostro schermo, è lo strumento in mano a questo nuovo ruolo ibrido; una sorta di “attentatore del significato”, capace di arrivare in qualsiasi luogo e curare, allenare, la propria visione. What value does art have for our lives? If art does not have life as its horizon, and has no value for our lives, we may as well bury art forever. Works of art have value as witnesses of valuable ways, attitudes, visions and attitudes. Looking at and experiencing works of art of value allows us to absorb (consciously and unconsciously) an attitude of value that we can apply in life. If what I have written were not true, we could also do without art. The opposite is also true: living with things that have no value (ugly) means assimilating this ugliness. In 2009 Luca Rossi began a series of site-specific interventions in which he himself experiences a fusion and confusion of roles: visitor, artist, curator, director, collector, press office. The mobile phone, our screen, is the instrument in the hands of this new hybrid role; a sort of ‘attacker of meaning’, capable of arriving anywhere and curating, training, his own vision.
